On June 12th, my company (ModuMark) participated in Car Star's annual Soap's it Up nationwide carwash by providing photo and video services to our local CarCraft Car Star location in Chesterfield. This wonderful event provides much needed funding to the Make A Wish Foundation. We had a blast visiting this location, speaking with the people involved and memorializing the event in photographs and short video clips. Here is the result of that effort which was very well received by Car Star all the way up to the Corporate level. We thank Car Star for the opportunity to help them raise money for this very worthwhile cause while at the same time showcasing our photo and video services.
Yesterday, we went to Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery and placed flags on the graves of over 100 thousand men and women. There were 5000 Boy Scouts in attendance along with many family members. A very memorable experience. A video compilation of photos and short clips is below. The music - America the Beautiful is played by my high school band and was performed and recorded back in the early 70's.
How important are your existing customers? Did you know.....???
Re-marketing to existing customers carries with it some substantial benefits:
Acquiring a new customer costs 5 to 10 times more than retaining one.
A 5 percent increase in retention yields profit increases of 25 to 100 percent.
Repeat customers spend, on average, 67 percent more.
Twenty percent of your customers account for 80 percent of total revenues.
Existing customers are your best source of referrals.
So - How do you maintain a relationship with your existing customers? Do you simply annoy them with loads of emails and direct mail? Or do you build on that fundamental relationship you started by calling them or dropping them a heartfelt card letting them know that you appreciate their business. You'd be surprised at how effective a Birthday or Anniversary card is.
After all - IT IS NOT all about you - IT IS all about your customer!
If you are looking for an economical way to do this - look no further - visit http://www.sendcardstoo.com and take us for a test drive absolutely free! And I mean FREE! No credit card entries - just enter your contact information and send a couple of cards - FREE - no hassles! (You can even add your own photos if you want!)
I don't know about you - but I don't know anyone who hates getting greeting cards or gifts in the mail! Have Fun!
Decided to only monitor the running portion of today's run. Pushed myself a bit harder this morning, but it will payoff soon. Another 5-6 minutes or so gets me to a 5k distance. Working to get fairly consistent 12 minutes/mile.
Final day of Week 8. Great workout and I'm pretty happy with the pace I was running. Looking forward to completing week 9. 30 minute runs! A great way to work up to a 5K from nothing. I feel great and am very happy with the results. Can't wait to actually run a 5K now! Thanks Jackie for spreading the news about this program!
Completed day 2 week 7 of Couch to 5K with my friend Barry. Today we covered 2.13 miles in our 25 minute run. Looking forward to upping the ante within the next two weeks and getting all the way to 5K. Our goal - complete a 5K in under 45 minutes. I'm pretty sure we will be there! Thanks to Deborah for all her support. Keep cheering for Barry as he is 10 years my senior and he is doing great!
Eggs bacon toast and coffee - my dad's favorite breakfast.... Mmmm. Decided to make a good meal this morning. Completed week 6 of the couch to 5K program about an hour ago. Feels great!
Yesterday I came home to some deer in my backyard. Here are some pics. Looked like they were a group of bucks. One of them had a badly broken hind leg but will probably survive in our neighborhood for a while. There is plenty to eat and as long as he stays off the road - where he probably got the broken leg, he will most likely survive for some time.
Will be finishing up week 6 of this 9 week program designed to get you off the couch and ready to run a 5K. Got a 25 minute run on Friday. Then week 7 is 25 minute runs each day. Week 8 runs up to 28 minute runs and week 9 up to 30 minutes. After that - I will start running the full 3.2 miles and timing shooting for a sub 30 minute 5K time. That is the ultimate goal for me - but we'll have to see how I time out on the first run for distance. I may give it a try on a weekend sometime just to see where my time falls initially. Besides it will be fun to try out RunKeeper. Gonna find a 5K to register for here shortly.
